  • Raise important questions for next steps in the life of the denomination.
  • Provide guidance for future face to face gatherings.
  • Shape the discourse across the denomination.

6 Questions is for all the people of The United Methodist Church.

Communication Goals

  • Publish an article about 6 Questions for the UMC in every conference newsletter before September 15, 2009
  • Invite each district superintendent to take part and bring 6 Questions for the UMC to a district gathering before September 15, 2009.
  • Gather small groups within local churches to discuss 6 Questions for the UMC
    • Recognizing that not all may be willing or able to access the website a leader who was willing and able to submit online could facilitate a discussion around these questions.
    • This will help bring more people into the conversation
  • Invite input for additional topics. One additional topic will be added on each of the following dates:
    • July 6, 2009
    • July 20, 2009
    • August 3, 2009
    • August 17, 2009
    • August 31, 2009
    • September 14, 2009
