How has the 40 days of prayer effort been for you? What's it been like to pray alongside hundreds of your brothers & sisters in Christ? We want to share your stories, ideas, comments, etc. Tell us here!
The 40 days of prayer has reignited my hope for the UMC to once again become an instrument of God, bringing the lost to salvation and the saved to a life of discipleship. With passionate young clergy, such as those writing the prayers I have been reading, I once again have hope that the universal church, and particularly the United Methodist Church, will lead in creating passionately devoted followers of Jesus Christ! Amen and Amen!

Prayer is never a solitary endeavor. We are surrounded by the communion of saints whether alone in an office or gathering with thousands in worship. But to join with hundreds of other clergy who share a love for the United Methodist Church and a desire to see it live out its calling in faith...well...that is a special endeavor worth every effort. And, I believe, God is pleased. And, I believe, the church is better for it.

FANTASTIC! I've shared some of the prayers w/my congregation and our Bishop and on my blog. Prayer IS the place to start re-thinking! And I know our conferences have been/will be affected!

I have followed the prayers for many days and have been overwhelmed too tears many times by the spiritual wisdom and depth of the individuals sharing their prayers (which were not typical prayers, but true conversations with God). The prayers have moved me and surely moved God. They prove that God is at work keeping his promise to fill us with His Spirit in these days. And, more importantly negates the idea that the younger generation of the church is not engaged. They are most certainly engaged with God, but may not be engaged in 'church' the way the church thinks. I feel confident that God will move through these men and women and that the church will emerge from this dry spell, revived, envigorated, and truly empowered to fulfill Christ's mission.
